Venus Fashion, the most expensive brand in the world, is worth $4 billion
Fortune (AFP) – Venus Fashion Inc., the world’s most expensive fashion brand, has hit a record $4,837,723 in market value, more than double its initial public offering (IPO) price, analysts said on Tuesday.
Venus has raised more than $1 billion from investors including Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, which owns about 30% of the global clothing retailer.
Venuses brand is worth about $4bn, with most of that coming from China.
VenUS Fashion is one of the most profitable brands in the entire fashion industry, according to research firm Euromonitor International.
Venues like Burberry, which bought the clothing retailer in 2007, have raised more money from Chinese investors than any other brands.
Venusa has been able to break into the US market thanks to the success of its high-end fashion line.
The brand also sells accessories and other products to high-fashion brands.
It has a $1bn share of a $2.7bn apparel-factory in China that produces high-quality garments for brands including Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci.
Venue’s luxury fashion line has also been credited with driving up demand for the brand’s signature products such as designer boots, jewelry and designer sunglasses.
Venuss brand also offers designer watches and watches inspired by the planet Venus, which have been popular among fans of the brand, and it has become one of China’s largest sellers of luxury watches and accessories.
Venustas luxury collection has seen sales double since it was launched last year.
