The truth behind the name of the Manchester United midfielder, who could leave after season-long loan
Paul Pogba could leave Manchester United after the season-ending loan spell.
Sources close to the midfielder have told TalkSport that the 24-year-old is close to agreeing a deal to move to Real Madrid.
It is understood Pogba, who has not played for United since January, has asked to be given a season-length deal that will be worth around £150,000 per week, with the option of a further £100,000 in incentives.
He is understood to be keen on the chance to play regularly for his former club, but the move is still likely to come at the end of the season.
Pogba has been out of favour at Old Trafford after a number of injuries and was only able to start just five times in all competitions last term.
He has struggled to find a regular place at United and was a late replacement for David De Gea in the Manchester derby against Manchester City last season.
United are understood to have held talks with Real Madrid about a new deal and are believed to have made an offer to Juventus for the midfielder, with a club spokesman saying: “The deal has been completed and is for Pogba.
It will be finalised when all parties are satisfied with the terms.”
