How to buy women’s clothing from China
You might think that women’s fashion would be a niche market for brands like Louis Vuitton and Burberry, but for the first time, there’s a major brand in the space.
The first female-owned fashion label in China, which was launched in May, has become the most popular brand in China for the fourth consecutive month, according to market research firm Gartner.
The brand, which launched as a brand of a local designer, launched a partnership with fashion house Chandler Fashion Center in July.
Gartners said the brand was able to attract a wider audience because of its approach to fashion, which is aimed at women with more casual tastes.
It’s an approach that also includes its brand of footwear, which Gartnes says is designed for women who have “a little bit of an athletic bent.”
